About Me

My photo
Cleveland, Ohio, United States
I am a retired teacher with time on my hands. I love to cook and bake. For the past eight years my hobby has been entering recipe contests. I have done very well and have been to several cook/bake offs although I have never won a grand prize. The ititials of my blog CCC are the same as the site where I get contest information, Cooking Contest Central (CCC). While there are 1000's of food blogs that post recipes this blog will review other cooking blogs.

"TIME" FOR A NEW GIVEAWAY

To start the New Year 2012 I am giving away a DoneRight 5 in 1 timer

From Sunday, January 1, 2012 until 11:59 PM on Saturday, January 14, 2012 leave a comment with your email under this post. On Monday, January 16, 2012 I will use http://www.random.org/ to select the winner. One entry per email, please.

The DoneRight Kitchen Timer is a nifty little gadget that allows you to keep track of everything that you’re cooking and baking in your oven all at the same time. The timer looks like a miniature range and has five different digital timers built into it: one for each of the burners and one for the oven. This design – aside from being cute – really allows you to keep track of what you’re cooking because you can set the timer that corresponds to your cooking surface. An alarm sounds and each the timers will light up with a bright blue light when the time is up, so you won’t mistake which timer went off, either.
For everyday cooking and baking, you might not need this many timers – although it is certainly nice to have the option for the times when you do. This type of great around the holidays, when you’re preparing big meals and have more dishes cooking than you normally do. The timer comes in several colors and, while you might not be able to match your range or other kitchen appliances exactly, you should be able to pick out a color that will coordinate with your kitchen and add a nice little accessory, as well as a useful timer.

The color is black because that is ALL they had left after the Christmas rush. In fact, I got the last one in stock. They will restock in a week or so. If you want to order your own I think the link is http://www.donerighttimer.com/

HAPPY NEW YEAE

I got another timer so winner will have either black or red

THE WINNER IS

It is 12:19 AM on Monday, December 19, 2011. I stated that the cutoff was 11:59 PM on Sunday, December 18, 2011. I wanted to draw the winner early on the 19th so the winner might have the blender in time for Christmas.

Using www.random.org I drew the winning number. There were 126 comments and the winning number was 8---Christen. I have sent Christen an email and will mail the blender as soon as I get her address.

Thanks to each of you who left a comment. I plan on having another giveaway for Valentine's Day. In the meantime I want to wish each of you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
